The electricity was gone when we woke up at 5:30 am - fumbled around trying to collect our self & our backpacks. Left some stuff we didn't want to carry around anymore.
(We've got this agreement - when we buy something - something else has to be thrown out - & we NEVER bring clothes along we need to bring home again, that's why you'll see me wearing colors & t-shirts I'd never wear at home in some of the photos! - & I've always got a plastic bag full of "dump clothes" in my closet back home!)
The minibus arrived & we left Hoi An - heading for Nha Trang.
The road was everlasting & stunning! Dusty villages - paddy fields - beautiful mountains - temples - the ocean & the nature changes all the time.
Just before we reached N.T. the backdoor opened & we all had to get out & count the backpacks - the co-driver had to sit among the backpack & hold on to the door the rest of the way.
(this is the easy lazy way of traveling - buy a ticket to a tourist mini bus & travel with a lot of other westerners from town to town - I admit you might see a lot more with local busses - but we were lazy)
We arrived in N.T. at 6pm found a cheap hotel with no mosquito nets & cold water but clean sheets (9$) booked in - had a very cold shower & went out to find something to eat.
Down at the beach promenade we booked a tour with Mama Hahn's Green tour boat for tomorrow! & went down to Vinegar Bar to eat. Met 3 Austrian guys we have had beer with in Hoi An - they told us that David could be found at the Sailing Club. Okay but first we ate a delicious seafood dinner & drank some of their apricot booze (strange guys - they traveled around with sausages & Austrian" snaps").
We all walked down to the Sailing Club (owned by an aussie). On the way we met some local lady boys who offered the guys "boom boom" on the beach! "sorry not today". At the club we were greeted by David - Perry & BirgitSusanne & Kim Larsen sang his lungs out from a leftover-tape. We danced the night away!!!

We did not exactly jump out of bed - had some major hangovers. But made it down to the bus which took us through old Nha Trang down to the harbor - on the boat we met Ian an English guy we already met in Hanoi - he was extremely funny. The sun was shinning& the sky was blue - & we sailed around on this beautiful green South China Sea . Life is wonderful!
We stopped close to an island & everybody but me jumped in the water - (I like showers & bathtubs - but oceans were I can't reach the bottom freaks me out ) But Ian convinced me to walk down the ladder to the safety ring he hold on to then he pushed me over to a big undersea rock I could stand on & later back to the boat again.
Knights travel with backpacks!
We had a super lunch - lots of seafood & fruit. Later we sailed in to an island where the guys played volleyball & the girls just enjoyed the sun & small talked . We talked to an English girl named Sally Ann - I don't know if I liked her & her boyfriend Jim - or not - they were so snobbish!
